[Video] Two Of A Kind - Tom Gould & Anna Delany

Tom Gould and Anna Delany debut their latest work in a show which features photographs of the streets of New York shot exclusively on 35mm black and white film.
Marking a difference between the millions of images of metropolitan New York, Gould and Delany's photographs document the frequently overlooked beauty of the neighborhoods and communities outside of mainstream media.
Many images featured in their upcoming exhibition capture subtleties of everyday life from their adoptive neighborhood in Brooklyn's, Bedford Stuyvesant.
Klughaus Gallery and LRG present, "Two Of A Kind", an exhibition of photographs by Tom Gould and Anna Delany, proudly sponsored by Duggal.
Exhibition will be on display from April 21 through May 13, 2012.

Steven Siegel - 1980's in NYC

During the last three decades, the photographer, Steven Siegel boldly documented the five boroughs of New York. 
The series primarily contains photographs of the 80's revealing the dark side of New York, which for the majority was a daily reality for years. 
At the sight of these pictures that remind the Subway Series of Bruce Davidson one is immediately plunged into an atmosphere that is conducive to a certain place and time. 
Since the 80's New York has benefited many rehabilitation, renovation and security programs but we mustn't forget that the "Big Apple" was once one of the poorest cities in the United States.

Pendant les 3 dernières décennies, le photographe, Steven Siegel a audacieusement documentée les cinq arrondissements de New York. 
La série contient principalement des photographies des années 80 révélant le coté obscur et de New York, qui pour la majorité était pendant de longues années une réalité quotidienne. 
A la vue de ces clichés qui rappellent la série Subway de Bruce Davidson on est immédiatement plongé dans une atmosphère propre à un endroit et une époque. 
Depuis les années 80 New York a bénéficié de nombreux programmes de réhabilitation, rénovation et sureté mais il ne faut pas oublier que la «Big Apple» était une des grandes villes les plus pauvres des Etats-Unis.
